Daily Candy

Daily Candy LogoIt’s a Family Affair

Kids these days. Toddlers can TiVo and first graders can school you in a game of Halo.

But you agreed to babysit your pal’s mini-me, so now you have to think of something fun to do (that won’t garner raised eyebrows from the under-four-feet set).

Behold MiniMasters, a new state-of-the-art educational center in Tribeca that’s bent on entertaining kids and adults alike.

From classical ballet and art classes to Dalcroze Eurythmics (learning music through movement), there’s something for all little people between 18 months and 10 years. Grown-ups can perfect their swing with Pilates Golf; indulge in a massage; or find peace, quiet, and a high-speed Internet connection in the reading room.

Little Johnny’s eyes light up with Suzuki violin lessons? Yours light up with a double latte? Have both. Free trial classes are available through April 8 for the whole fam. Potential members: Beware the $200 enrollment fee.

After all, it does take a village. Or — for the Manhattan child — at least the price of one.

MiniMasters, 100 Reade Street, between Church Street and West Broadway (212-374-1747 or minimasters.com).
